Since I switched to Fivefingers as long as I'm moving, my feet are warm! It's not ...Yeah, I've worn it in the rain. It's not bad if it's just wet ground, but watch the puddles. It can get damp in that case. Also in snow it's a bit prone to dampness. I think they have a new style now that doesn't have the thin fabric on the side - they carry the leather around? Something like that. I'm still wearing them a year and a half later, and they look a bit scraped up but still work great. I should have been polishing them more. I've also been irritated that they don't seem to sell the pink-colored leather polish, either, and now that I've worn mine for about a year there's some spots where my pink on the leather is coming off a bit.

I agree - in a shoe like a barefoot shoe, they need to give better instructions on how to clean it!Jennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01659721366401451307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342328683579419423.post-76649077823592012192013-06-05T09:33:55.141-04:002013-06-05T09:33:55.141-04:00I washed my Merrell wonder gloves using a little b...I washed my Merrell wonder gloves using a little baking soda and warm water and I may have used too much baking soda or too much water, as the bottom heel leather has turned colour. I have the aluminum colour and it must be something in the leather as there was another blog post I read about not putting them in the washer so I did not do that but the same thing happened to them. They are kinda wrecked now. I am going to try some shoe leather cleaner/conditioner and see it if improves, but I am pretty disappointed. Merrell should have better cleaning instructions esp on lighter colour shoes with a mix if fabric and leather. Now that you've given then lesson, if you're looking to take your lesson to the next level (summer slough?) you can say "I've been noticing..." and ask "How do you think we should handle this?" and try to get LOTS of ideas, accepting both realistic and unrealistic, help them decide on one or two to implement (realistic or not), let them see how it goes, re-evaluate together, etc. This is a great way to promote critical thinking skills and let them know they have value, respect, and responsibility in the family system.
